San Diego, California, United States, October 2025 – Balazs Wellisch has been appointed as the new Chief Technology Officer at PeopleConnect. In this role, he will focus on scaling technology platforms, building high-performing teams, and driving product innovation to enhance customer experience. With a proven record of leading technology transformations and operations in digital platforms and consumer-facing businesses, Wellisch brings more than two decades of leadership to PeopleConnect’s mission of shaping the future of digital identity solutions.
Prior to joining PeopleConnect, Balazs Wellisch served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Giftify, Inc., overseeing strategy, operations, and technology for its portfolio, which included Restaurant.com, CardCash.com, RedTag, and FraudFix. As COO of Restaurant.com, he was instrumental in driving operational efficiency, revenue growth, and customer engagement. As CTO at Giftify, he led innovation initiatives and digital transformation across its consumer incentive platforms.
Before Giftify, Wellisch was the Chief Executive Officer of GameIQ, Inc. for over seven years. He built a SaaS platform in the loyalty and engagement space, leveraging gamification and behavioral economics to strengthen brand-consumer connections. His leadership culminated in the company’s acquisition by RDE, Inc. in 2022.
Earlier in his career, he worked as a Senior Consultant at Solana Consulting, Inc., managing projects for multinational brands and driving e-business and e-commerce development strategies that generated more than $1 billion in sales. He also served as CEO of Neu Solutions, an enterprise-scale e-commerce and content management provider, where he scaled operations across engineering, sales, and delivery.
Wellisch began his career in technology leadership with roles including Vice President of Engineering at Eriss, Chief Technology Officer at Digital Trends, Director of Operations at WebHomes, and Manager of Information Systems at Byte & Floppy Computers. Across these positions, he consistently demonstrated the ability to align technology innovation with business growth.
