Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has elected Tanya Gupta as Managing Director & Partner, marking a significant milestone in her decade-long consulting career with the firm. In her new leadership role, she will continue to advise clients on strategic business transformation while contributing to the firm’s continued growth and leadership.
Tanya has built her career at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) over the past 10 years, progressing through a series of increasingly senior consulting and leadership roles. Prior to being elected Managing Director & Partner, she served as Partner for around one and a half years, following more than two years as Principal. Earlier, she spent approximately two years as Project Leader, after serving for around two years as Consultant and another two years as Senior Associate. During her journey with BCG, she also took a short career break before returning to continue her progression through the firm’s leadership ranks.
Before joining BCG, Tanya completed a summer internship with Citibank India, where she worked with the Treasury and Trade Services team supporting institutional clients.
Earlier in her career, she spent nearly two years with J.P. Morgan as an Investment Banking Analyst, contributing to the firm’s Equity Markets and Investment Banking Division. During her tenure, she also completed an international analyst rotation in Hong Kong, gaining exposure to structured equity transactions, capital markets and investment banking advisory.
Tanya holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, where she completed her postgraduate management education before embarking on her consulting career.
