Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Alkem Laboratories Ltd. has appointed Shivaditya Banerjee as Senior Vice President – Human Resources, strengthening its leadership team with an accomplished HR executive who brings nearly two decades of experience across corporate HR, sales, manufacturing, research & development, and international human resources. Based at the company’s Mumbai headquarters, he will lead Corporate HR, India Sales & Marketing HR, and International HR, while driving key people initiatives that strengthen organizational capability, culture, and business performance.
Prior to joining Alkem Laboratories, Shivaditya served as Head – HR, Piramal Consumer Healthcare at Piramal Pharma Ltd., where he led the overall HR agenda and organizational transformation for the consumer healthcare business. Before that, he was Head – HR India, Piramal Pharma Solutions, partnering with business leaders to drive organizational development, cultural transformation, talent strategy, and people excellence across the organization.
Earlier, Shivaditya was Vice President – Human Resources at AYM Syntex Limited (formerly Welspun Syntex), where he led the company’s end-to-end HR function for one of India’s leading specialty yarn manufacturers. His leadership focused on talent strategy, organizational capability, employee engagement, and building high-performing teams to support business growth.
A significant part of his career was spent with Asian Paints, where he held several progressively senior HR leadership positions over nearly a decade. During his tenure, he led HR for manufacturing operations, supply chain, marketing, finance, IT, and the company’s international business across 14 global subsidiaries, including greenfield projects and acquisitions. His experience spans HR business partnering, industrial relations, talent management, organizational development, and international HR leadership across diverse geographies.
With extensive expertise in strategic HR leadership, organizational transformation, talent development, leadership capability, and business partnering, Shivaditya has consistently aligned people strategies with business priorities. His appointment reflects Alkem Laboratories’ commitment to strengthening its people-first culture and building organizational capability to support the company’s continued growth across India and global markets.
