Tokyo, Japan, July 2026 — DP World has promoted Saiko Shimazaki to Global Director – Global Logistics, marking a significant milestone in her decade-long journey with the global supply chain and logistics leader.
In her new role, Saiko will manage DP World’s strategic global key accounts while enabling customers’ international trade through the company’s integrated portfolio of ports, terminals, logistics, marine services, and economic zones. Based in Tokyo, Japan, she will work closely with multinational customers to strengthen global supply chains and support international trade across key markets.
Saiko has been with DP World for more than ten years, building an impressive career across business development, strategic account management, and global logistics. Most recently, she served as Senior Manager – Strategic Accounts and Lead Internal Auditor, where she focused on strategy execution through cross-functional leadership, stakeholder alignment, and management of complex strategic customer relationships. She also held the role of Relationship Manager – Strategic Accounts, supporting long-term customer partnerships and helping businesses leverage DP World’s integrated logistics capabilities.
Earlier in her DP World career, Saiko served as Senior Executive – Business Development, driving commercial growth across strategic markets, before taking on responsibilities as Sales Executive for the Asia Pacific Region within Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA), where she played a key role in attracting foreign direct investment and supporting international companies establishing operations in the UAE.
Before joining DP World, Saiko worked with K2 Management Solutions, the official agent for Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority in the Japanese market. In that role, she advised Japanese companies on market entry strategies into the UAE, promoted JAFZA as a regional business hub, and supported entrepreneurs establishing businesses in the Middle East.
Earlier in her career, she spent more than three years with Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa, where she managed corporate legal affairs, information security, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning while working closely with Panasonic’s headquarters in Japan. She began her international business career with UDAPI & Asociados in Madrid, Spain, supporting business development and market entry projects across the Asia-Pacific region.
Saiko further strengthened her leadership capabilities through the Executive Leadership Program at NUS Business School, designed specifically for DP World leaders, and earned an Executive MBA from IE Business School, equipping her with global business and executive leadership expertise.
Her promotion reflects DP World’s continued investment in developing global leadership talent while strengthening customer partnerships and delivering integrated end-to-end supply chain solutions across international markets.
