Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, July 2026 — Prudential Vietnam Assurance Private Ltd. has announced the appointment of Tam Thanh Nguyen as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective 13 July 2026, reinforcing the company’s commitment to building future-ready talent and strengthening its leadership capabilities.
The company highlighted that with more than 25 years of HR leadership experience across leading multinational and regional organizations, Tam has built an exceptional track record in driving organizational transformation, strengthening leadership capabilities, and developing people strategies closely aligned with long-term business priorities. Her strategic leadership has consistently enabled organizations to enhance capability, improve performance, and achieve sustainable growth in rapidly evolving business environments.
As Chief Human Resources Officer, Tam will work closely with Prudential Vietnam’s Executive Committee to develop future-ready talent, strengthen organizational and leadership capabilities, and foster a high-performance culture. These priorities will support Prudential Vietnam’s continued commitment to earning the trust of customers, partners, and communities while reinforcing its position as one of Vietnam’s leading life insurers.
Tam joins Prudential Vietnam from MASAN Group, where she has served as Chief Human Resources Officer since 2022. At one of Vietnam’s largest conglomerates, with nearly 50,000 employees and operations spanning FMCG, retail, telecommunications, financial services, mining, and consumer businesses, she has led the enterprise-wide HR strategy as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Her responsibilities have included workforce transformation, AI-enabled workforce initiatives, talent mobility, leadership succession, organizational capability building, digital HR transformation, and embedding people sustainability into the company’s long-term growth strategy.
Prior to MASAN Group, Tam spent more than a decade with Cargill, holding a series of increasingly senior leadership positions including Regional Business HR Director – Thailand & Vietnam, Regional Business HR Director – Asia South, and Human Resources Director – Vietnam. During her tenure, she partnered with business leaders across multiple Asian markets to drive strategic workforce planning, organizational transformation, leadership development, culture, diversity and inclusion, and talent management while supporting business expansion across the region.
Earlier in her career, Tam spent over ten years with IKEA Group, where she served as Regional HR Manager for Southeast Asia and previously as Human Resources Manager – Vietnam. She played a pivotal role in integrating people strategy with business growth across Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia while leading leadership development, competency building, talent acquisition, and regional HR initiatives.
She began her professional journey with Columbia Asia Hospitals as HR & Tax Manager before starting her career as a Tax Consultant at KPMG, providing her with a unique combination of business, finance, and people leadership expertise.
With more than two decades of experience leading HR transformation across manufacturing, retail, healthcare, agriculture, telecommunications, financial services, and consumer businesses, Tam brings extensive expertise in organizational design, executive leadership, workforce transformation, digital HR, succession planning, talent strategy, and high-performance culture development.
