Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, August 2026 — Clearfield, Inc. has appointed Taber Rigg as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). As a key member of the executive leadership team, Rigg will lead the company’s global people strategy, driving workforce planning, organisational effectiveness, cultural alignment, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee and labour relations, workforce analytics, organisational development, and merger and acquisition-related HR initiatives.
With more than two decades of human resources leadership experience, Taber Rigg has built an exceptional career partnering with executive leadership teams across manufacturing, supply chain, food production, and consumer goods industries. In his new role at Clearfield, he will play a critical role in supporting the company’s continued growth by aligning people strategies with business objectives while strengthening organisational capability and employee engagement across the enterprise.
Prior to joining Clearfield, Rigg served as Vice President of HR for Global Supply Chain at Schwan’s Company, where he partnered with the Chief Supply Chain Officer to lead a 40-member HR organisation supporting approximately 7,000 employees across 18 manufacturing and distribution facilities. He played a key role in major transformation initiatives, including the launch of a $350 million automated manufacturing facility, workforce planning for a 700,000-square-foot greenfield plant, and the design of an integrated end-to-end supply chain organisation. Earlier, he was Business HR Leader – Cargill Starches & Sweeteners North America at Cargill, working closely with commercial, operations, supply chain, and sales leaders to support profitable business growth across multiple facilities and product lines.
A significant part of Rigg’s career was spent with General Mills, where he served for more than 13 years in a series of progressively senior HR leadership roles across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. His responsibilities ranged from leading HR strategy for large manufacturing sites and North American supply chain operations to overseeing labour relations, leadership development, organisational design, talent management, and employee engagement. Earlier in his career, he served as HR and Operations Manager at Kohl’s Department Stores, building a strong foundation in talent development, succession planning, and operational leadership. Rigg also holds an MBA in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources from Brigham Young University, providing a strong academic foundation that complements his extensive executive leadership experience.
