Gurugram, Haryana, India, August 2026 — Ericsson Telecommunications Inc. has appointed Randeep Raina as Head of Customer Unit Vodafone Idea (Vi), reinforcing its leadership team as the company continues to strengthen its long-standing strategic partnership with Vodafone Idea (Vi). With nearly three decades of experience across telecommunications, technology, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, business development, and strategic partnerships, Randeep brings extensive expertise in enterprise sales, digital transformation, network technologies, AI-enabled solutions, and customer relationship management. His strong industry background positions him to further deepen Ericsson’s partnership with Vodafone Idea and support the evolution of India’s telecom ecosystem.

Prior to joining Ericsson Telecommunications Inc., Randeep Raina was building an AI-powered intelligence and verification platform for Data Center and AI infrastructure, focusing on next-generation technology solutions designed to enhance intelligence, verification, and operational efficiency for modern digital infrastructure.

Earlier, he spent over four years with Google as Director – Business Development & Sales: Telco and Strategic Partnerships, where he led executive engagement with leading telecom operators and drove the adoption of Google’s cloud, AI, Android, and digital technology portfolio. During his tenure, he built strategic alliances across telecom and cloud ecosystems, launched innovative programs around sovereign cloud and generative AI, expanded commercial partnerships, and significantly strengthened Google’s presence across India’s digital transformation landscape.

Before Google, Randeep enjoyed a distinguished career spanning more than 13 years at Nokia, where he held several senior leadership positions, including Chief Technology Officer & Head of Strategy, Chief Technology Officer & Director of Portfolio Sales, Head of Business and Sales Development – Asia, Middle East & Africa, Head of Business (Account Director) – Tata Teleservices/Tata Communications, Head of Sales – GSM & Mobile Broadband (3G/WiMAX/LTE) – India, and Head of 3G & WiMax Business. Throughout these assignments, he led large-scale telecom transformation initiatives, AI-enabled network strategies, mobile broadband expansion, portfolio management, customer engagement, technology commercialization, and regional business growth across multiple international markets.

Earlier in his career, he served as Country Manager and Director – India at Actix (now Amdocs), where he successfully expanded the company’s presence in India through differentiated go-to-market strategies and strategic customer engagements.

He began his professional journey with Motorola Solutions, where he spent nearly 11 years progressing through engineering, operations, sales, and strategic account leadership roles. During this period, he played an important role in India’s early telecom expansion by leading major customer accounts, driving network deployments, supporting new product initiatives, and building long-term relationships with leading telecom operators.

Randeep Raina’s extensive leadership experience across telecom infrastructure, AI, cloud technologies, strategic partnerships, and customer-centric business transformation makes him exceptionally well-positioned to lead Ericsson’s Vodafone Idea business and further strengthen one of the industry’s most significant technology partnerships.

Randeep Raina holds an MBA in Strategy, Sales and Marketing from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, complementing his strong technical and business leadership background.
