Guwahati, Assam, India, August 2026 — Akshar Foundation has appointed Nandita Bayan Barua, SHRM-SCP as Senior Director – HR & Administration. In her new leadership role, she will lead the Foundation’s human resources and administration functions, driving people strategy, organizational development, talent management, leadership capability, workforce planning, employee engagement, and administrative excellence to support Akshar Foundation’s mission of transforming education through sustainable community development.
With over two decades of Human Resources leadership experience across IT services, telecommunications, Global Capability Centres (GCCs), and multinational organizations, Nandita Bayan Barua brings extensive expertise in HR business partnering, talent management, leadership development, learning and development, organizational capability, workforce planning, employer branding, diversity and inclusion, and people strategy. Having led HR initiatives across India, APAC, Europe, the UK, and the Americas, she brings a truly global perspective to her new role at Akshar Foundation.
Prior to joining Akshar Foundation, Nandita served as Head of Human Resources (India) at Trigyn Technologies, where she led the organization’s India HR function, driving workforce planning, employer branding, talent acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and strategic HR initiatives across the business.
Earlier, she held two senior leadership positions at Vodafone Idea Limited, serving as General Manager – HRBP (Technology), where she partnered with technology leadership to align people strategy with business priorities, and previously as General Manager – Head of Talent & Capability, leading talent management, capability development, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
Before Vodafone Idea, Nandita spent over six years with Vodafone, progressing through key Human Resources leadership roles including Assistant General Manager – HR and Senior Manager – Learning, Development & Diversity & Inclusion. During this period, she played a significant role in strengthening organizational capability, leadership development, learning strategies, diversity and inclusion programs, and employee engagement across multiple business functions.
Her earlier career includes serving as Global Training Manager at BT, Deputy Manager at IBM, Communication Trainer at Vertex Customer Solutions India Private Limited, and Executive at Wipro, where she built a strong foundation in learning, talent development, customer operations, and organizational capability.
