Chicago, Illinois, United States, August 2026 — Baxter International Inc. has appointed Deepa Abi as Vice President, Global Business Solutions. In her new leadership role, she will oversee the company’s Global Business Solutions function, driving operational excellence, digital transformation, service delivery, process optimization, innovation, and enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives that support Baxter’s mission of advancing healthcare worldwide.
With over 25 years of global leadership experience spanning healthcare, consumer goods, technology, consulting, and business services, Deepa Abi brings extensive expertise in global business services (GBS), enterprise transformation, operating model design, digital strategy, operational excellence, shared services, process improvement, and organizational transformation. Her appointment reinforces Baxter’s commitment to strengthening its global operations through innovation and continuous improvement.
Prior to joining Baxter International Inc., Deepa served at Kraft Heinz, where she most recently held the position of Head of GBS Strategy and Transformation, leading strategic transformation initiatives across the Global Business Services organization. Earlier, as Head of North America GBS, she was responsible for operations, service delivery, process leadership, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation across the North American business.
Before Kraft Heinz, she worked as an Independent Executive, advising organizations on digital strategy, business transformation, and enterprise operating models.
Earlier, Deepa served as Vice President – Global Process and Digital Transformation at Warner Music Group, where she led enterprise-wide digital transformation and process modernization initiatives. Prior to that, she was Senior Director – Enterprise Transformation, Organization, and Operating Model Design at S&P Global Ratings, driving large-scale organizational transformation and operating model redesign.
Her earlier leadership experience includes serving as Vice President – Global Technology and previously Assistant Vice President – Business Transformation and Change Management at Genpact, where she led global transformation, technology, and change management initiatives. She also held the role of Director, Operational Excellence Network at Bristol-Myers Squibb, overseeing operational excellence programs, and served as North America Operational Excellence Leader at Accenture Credit Services. Deepa began her corporate leadership journey with GE, where she spent over five years as Manager, Operations and Quality, building a strong foundation in operations management and quality excellence.
