Bahadur brings her extensive experience to spearhead Synchrony’s operations across the nation, aligning with the company’s strategic goals to expand its market presence.
Prior to joining Synchrony, Rachana Bahadur served as Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where she was Co-Head of India Operations from June 2018 to May 2024. In this role, she significantly enhanced the Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) capabilities in Bangalore and Hyderabad, reinforcing the firm’s position in India’s financial landscape.
Her tenure at JPMorgan Chase & Co. further solidified her leadership capabilities, where she served as Managing Director for over a decade, focusing on Consumer & Community Banking’s Centralized Operations. Her efforts streamlined service resolutions and operational efficiencies, establishing robust processes that supported expansive growth in the region.
Bahadur’s earlier experience includes strategic roles at Morgan Stanley, where she managed the Equity/Fixed Income Product Controllership and Finance groups in both New York and India. This role followed her initial years in the financial sector at Deloitte & Touche as a Financial Analyst within the Collateralized Mortgage Obligations group, setting the foundation for her distinguished career.
