Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, August 2024 – Kellie Mondell has been appointed as the Vice President of Human Capital at Optum. In her new role, Kellie will lead the people function for Optum Rx’s Pharmacy Care Services and Product & Innovation organizations, overseeing a $60 billion P&L and managing a team of approximately 15,000 employees. Kellie is excited about the learning and growth opportunities this role will bring as she continues to contribute to Optum’s mission.
Kellie joins this position after serving as the Vice President of Human Capital for Optum Tech for three years. During her tenure, she provided HR leadership across multiple Optum business lines, including Optum Health, Optum Rx, Optum Insight, and Optum Financial, supporting around 12,000 global tech employees.
Before her role at Optum Tech, Kellie was the Vice President of Human Capital at Rally Health, where she led the integration of Rally Health into Optum. She managed a 50-member Human Capital team responsible for talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, DEI, talent management, and more, shaping the employee experience for over 1,800 employees.
Kellie’s earlier career includes significant roles at Cargill as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner for Global Accounting & Finance, where she led the people strategy for a multi-year finance transformation, and at NCR Corporation, where she held various HR positions, including HR Program Manager and North America University Relations Program Manager.
