Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, March 2025 – Abdulmajeed Alhamandi has joined the General Authority of Awqaf as Head of Talent Development, where he will lead leadership programs, succession planning, and employee development initiatives. With extensive expertise in talent management, learning & development, and competency frameworks, Abdulmajeed will play a key role in shaping the authority’s strategic HR development efforts.
Before joining General Authority of Awqaf, Abdulmajeed served as Development Programs Manager at Bank Albilad, where he led succession planning, executive programs, and leadership development initiatives. He also managed the Albilad Future program (GDP), enhanced the rotation plan for fresh graduates, and implemented employee development strategies to align with organizational goals.
Prior to that, he spent over a decade at stc in various HR and talent development roles. As Talent Development Assistant Manager, he was responsible for training needs analysis, competency framework development, and digital learning initiatives. He also worked on employee retention and engagement strategies, leveraging platforms such as Harvard courses, LinkedIn Learning, and Skillsoft.
Earlier at stc, Abdulmajeed held positions including HRBP – People Development Supervisor and HR Operation Specialist, where he played a key role in succession planning for senior roles, recruitment & development programs, and HR operations across multiple provinces. His contributions extended to leading HR projects, solving employee issues, and overseeing training initiatives for COOP programs.
His early career included a Learning & Development Analyst role at stc, where he managed training sessions, assessment projects, and external partnerships to ensure high-quality development programs.
