Kolkata, West Bengal, India, October 2024 – JK Protomax has appointed Abhijit Roy as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Abhijit will lead the company’s operations, leveraging his extensive experience to drive growth and operational excellence across various business verticals.
Before joining JK Protomax, Abhijit served as General Manager at Crown Paints Kenya Limited for over a decade. During his tenure, he managed the company’s operations in Kenya, overseeing sales, marketing, manpower recruitment, new product launches, and government projects. His leadership contributed to significant market expansion and showroom management in the region.
Prior to that, Abhijit held the position of Senior Regional Manager at Nitco Ltd. where he was responsible for overseeing the Eastern Zone, managing sales and marketing activities across Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, and the North-Eastern states. He led a team and achieved strong performance in the region, including appointing C&F agents and controlling dealer relationships.
Earlier in his career, Abhijit worked as Branch Manager at Greenply Industries Limited, where he expanded the company’s market presence in Bengal and Bhutan by appointing dealers and managing client relationships. His leadership was pivotal in driving market development and sales growth.
Abhijit’s career began at STP Limited, where he spent over a decade in various sales roles, culminating as Sales Manager. He played a key role in business development, securing large institutional clients, and driving product expansion.
