Gurgaon, Haryana, India, July 2025 — Abhineet Kothari has been elevated to the position of Marketing Head – India & Southeast Asia at Apollo Tyres Ltd, marking a pivotal step forward in his professional journey. This expanded mandate comes just over a year after he joined the organization, underscoring the significant impact he has delivered in a short span.
Abhineet joined Apollo Tyres in April 2024 as Category Head – Passenger Vehicles, where he played a key role in driving innovation, customer-centricity, and category growth. His strategic approach and business agility helped enhance the brand’s relevance in a competitive market.
Before Apollo, Abhineet served as AVP – Payments at Paytm, where he led P&L for the Recharge and Bill Payments business and spearheaded brand marketing and communications for Paytm First Games. His tenure at Castrol spanned nearly nine years, during which he held roles across brand management, regional sales, and category leadership, building deep expertise in both B2C and B2B segments.
Abhineet’s early career began on the high seas as a Merchant Navy Engineer Officer with Shell Shipping, bringing a unique cross-industry foundation to his marketing expertise. He later transitioned into FMCG marketing with an internship at Kellogg Company.
An alumnus of the Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon, Abhineet holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategy and a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering from Jadavpur University. His diverse professional background and dynamic leadership style continue to drive brand-led growth and regional expansion at Apollo Tyres.
