Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, September 2025 – Abhishek Kumar has taken on a new role as Chief People Officer at Adani RMRW (Road, Metro, Railways & Waterways) Business, Adani Group. In this capacity, he will be responsible for driving HR strategy, leadership development, and culture-building initiatives across the company’s expanding infrastructure verticals.
At the Adani Group, Abhishek has been a part of the organization for nearly six years. Most recently, he served as Head HR – AAHL, where he oversaw people strategy at the airports division. Prior to this, he was Head HR for Guwahati & Lucknow Airport and earlier, Head HR – Lucknow Airport (LIAL), where he led workforce transformation and HR operations, building a strong culture in one of India’s busiest airports.
Before joining Adani Group, Abhishek worked with JK Paper Ltd. for over four years as Deputy General Manager – HR & IR, where he played a critical role in employee relations and training initiatives. His contributions were recognized with the Genius HR Excellence Award 2015 for “Best Training Initiatives” in the large-company category. He also authored insights on HR trends, which were published in People and Management (International Edition – Singapore).
Earlier, he was with Uniparts India Ltd. as AGM – Corporate HR & Employee Relations, where he drove corporate HR strategies and workforce initiatives. Before that, at the Amara Raja Group, he served as Manager (Head) – Learning and Development, designing and leading impactful L&D strategies that contributed to organizational growth.
Abhishek began his HR career with Mawana Sugars Ltd. as Deputy Manager – Mawana Consultancy Services, where he spent nearly four years. He also served as a Young Professional at CAPART, gaining early experience in program development and execution.
Abhishek holds a PGDRD in EDP from the Xavier Institute of Social Service, which laid the foundation for his career in people management and organizational development.
