Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2026 — J.P. Morgan has promoted Abhishek Venkatesh to Head of Subsidiary Banking, India – Global Corporate Banking. In his expanded leadership role, he will lead the bank’s subsidiary banking business in India, strengthening relationships with multinational corporations, driving strategic growth initiatives, and delivering integrated corporate banking solutions across J.P. Morgan’s global platform.
Abhishek Venkatesh has built an accomplished career spanning over 16 years across corporate banking, relationship management, multinational client coverage, transaction banking, capital markets, corporate lending, and financial services. He has been with J.P. Morgan for more than a decade, steadily progressing through a series of leadership roles. Prior to this promotion, he served as Co-Head of Subsidiary Banking, India – Global Corporate Banking, where he jointly led the subsidiary banking franchise and helped deepen relationships with multinational clients operating in India. Earlier, he held the positions of Executive Director, Global Corporate Bank and Vice President, Global Corporate Bank, managing strategic client portfolios and delivering comprehensive banking solutions across financing, treasury services, capital markets, and investment banking.
Before joining J.P. Morgan, Abhishek spent over five years at Citi as Relationship Manager, Global Subsidiaries Group, Corporate & Investment Banking, where he managed relationships with multinational corporations across North America, Europe, and Asia. His responsibilities included transaction banking, foreign exchange and fixed income solutions, corporate lending, capital markets, and investment banking opportunities. He began his professional journey as a Technology Consultant at Capgemini US, bringing a strong technology foundation that complements his expertise in financial services.
Throughout his career, Abhishek has developed deep expertise in global corporate banking, subsidiary banking, multinational client relationship management, corporate lending, transaction banking, treasury services, foreign exchange, capital markets, investment banking, strategic business development, and cross-border financial solutions. His promotion underscores J.P. Morgan’s confidence in his leadership and his ability to further strengthen the firm’s corporate banking franchise in India while supporting multinational clients’ growth ambitions.
Abhishek holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California (USC).
