Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, May 2024 – Adam Thomas has joined MOMA Therapeutics as the Chief People & Experience Officer. Adam is excited to contribute to an organization dedicated to exploring the therapeutic opportunities of Molecular Machines to transform the lives of patients.
Adam’s most recent role was at Synlogic, where he spent approximately seven years. He served as the Chief People Officer and later took on the additional role of Corporate Secretary. During his tenure, he led various human resources functions and played a key role in corporate governance.
Prior to Synlogic, Adam was the Vice President and Head of HR – Research & Development at Shire Pharmaceuticals for about three years. In this position, he managed HR strategies and supported the R&D division, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and innovation.
Before joining Shire Pharmaceuticals, Adam worked at SC Johnson as the Director and Head of Human Resources – Research, Development & Engineering (RD&E) for approximately three years. He was responsible for HR leadership within the RD&E division, driving talent management and development initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Adam spent about twelve years at Pfizer in various HR roles. He served as Director, Human Resources, Associate Director, Human Resources, and Senior Advisor, Human Resources, where he honed his skills in HR management and organizational development.

Adam also held positions at CEB, now Gartner, as a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate, and at Brann Worldwide as an HR Advisor. These roles provided him with a solid foundation in HR research and advisory functions, further enriching his extensive experience in human resources.
