San Juan, Puerto Rico – Marriott International proudly appoints Adele Villapol as the new Market Director of Human Resources for Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Effective May 2024, Villapol will oversee human resource operations across this key market, bringing over 27 years of dedicated service within the hospitality industry to her new role.
Earlier, Adele Villapol has been with The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan since February 2007, where she most recently held the position of Director of Human Resources for more than 17 years. During her tenure, she was instrumental in implementing innovative HR policies, developing comprehensive succession planning processes, and enhancing performance management systems. Her strategic leadership significantly contributed to the hotel’s operational excellence and employee satisfaction.
Prior to her long-standing directorship, Villapol served as the Assistant Director of Human Resources at the same institution, a role that prepared her for her extensive responsibilities in human resources management. Her earlier career also included a significant period as Director of Training & Organizational Development, where she honed her skills in employee training methodologies and HR software applications, setting the stage for her later achievements in HR leadership.
