Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, April 2026 — Bajaj Energy has welcomed Ajay Kumar Pandey as Executive Director, Lalitpur Power Generation Company Limited, marking an important step in strengthening operational excellence, leadership continuity, and the long-term vision for the LPGCL station at Lalitpur.
Ajay Kumar Pandey brings more than 28 years of experience across operations, maintenance, commissioning, safety, supply chain, strategic management, and business performance of large thermal power plants. In his new role, he will contribute to driving plant performance, strengthening operations, and supporting the values and legacy of the Bajaj Group.
Before joining Bajaj Energy, Ajay held senior leadership roles including Executive Director – CEO at Jindal Power Limited and Chief Executive Officer – Power at Vedanta Limited – Aluminium Business, where he led power operations at Jharsuguda.
At Vedanta Limited – Aluminium Business, he held multiple leadership positions, including Chief Operating Officer – 3615 MW Power, Head – Health, Safety & Fire, Plant Head – 9 x 135 MW Captive Power Plant, and Head Operations & Maintenance – Power at Balco. His work covered strategic planning, coal sourcing, supply chain management, ash utilization, P&L responsibility, digitization, safety systems, renovation and modernization, vendor management, and plant performance improvement.
Earlier, Ajay worked with ACC Cement as Assistant Manager, handling shift operations of the ACC power plant at Kymore. He also served as Shift In-charge – Power Plant at Malco. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering Technologies from Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg.
