Sunil Desai Promoted to General Manager at Adani Green Energy Ltd.

Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, April 2026 — Sunil Desai has been promoted to General Manager – Electrical (Solar, Wind & BESS), Diagnostic, Asset Manager at Adani Green Energy Ltd., marking a significant milestone in his long association with the Adani Group.

In his new role, Sunil Desai will continue to contribute to electrical asset management, diagnostics, operations and maintenance, and renewable energy infrastructure across solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems.

Sunil has been associated with the Adani Group for more than 14 years, working across renewable energy, port infrastructure, power distribution, substations, liquid terminal projects, and electrical and instrumentation systems. Prior to this elevation, he served as Associate General Manager – Electrical, handling solar and wind assets, HT, EHV, BOP systems, diagnostics, and asset management.

Earlier within Adani, Sunil worked across solar plant O&M, liquid terminal projects, power distribution, and port projects at Hazira, along with electrical and instrumentation works for large-scale infrastructure. He also handled operations and maintenance of 220/66/11KV and 66/11KV substations, transmission lines, GIS substations, and solar power assets at Mundra SEZ.

Before joining Adani, Sunil worked with Lanco Solar – India, where he contributed to solar plant project work, including erection, testing, and commissioning. He also spent over five years with Essar, working on project execution, operation, and maintenance of 220KV switchyards and high-capacity transformers.

His earlier career includes experience with Baroda Reyon Corporation Ltd., where he worked on operation and maintenance of a 10MW power plant. Across his career, Sunil has built deep expertise in electrical systems, renewable energy assets, substations, power distribution, predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, project execution, vendor coordination, safety compliance, and cost optimization.
