Santiago, Santiago Metropolitan Region, Chile, July 2025 — Ajit Kumar Pandey has joined Kalpataru Power Chile SpA as Head – HR & Admin, marking a significant milestone in his global HR leadership journey. Based in Santiago, Chile, Ajit is now responsible for aligning people strategies with business goals in one of Kalpataru’s key international operations.
A wholly owned subsidiary of KALPATARU PROJECTS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED, Kalpataru Power Chile plays a pivotal role in the company’s expansive EPC operations across 70+ countries. Ajit’s appointment is expected to reinforce the HR framework in Latin America, fostering a people-first approach while driving innovation and operational excellence.
Ajit brings over 15 years of experience, primarily from Larsen & Toubro, where he led HR initiatives for major infrastructure projects such as the Mumbai Metro and the High-Speed Rail (Bullet Train) corridor. As Head HR for the MAHSR C3 project, he oversaw the 135-km elevated rail corridor, and prior to that, led HR for the L&T-STEC JV responsible for Mumbai Metro Line 3. His expertise spans talent management, employee engagement, performance systems, and strategic workforce planning.
Earlier in his career, Ajit held key HR roles across multiple L&T clusters including Mumbai and Delhi, and began his journey with recruitment and HR operations roles at Zensar Technologies, Quantum Integrators, and Global Enterprise Infotech Solutions.
Ajit holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in HR & Marketing from SaiBalaji Group of Institutes, a B.Sc. in Microbiology from Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Ghaziabad, and recently completed the Emerging Project Leadership Programme from the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli.
