Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, September 2024 – Alan Wyley has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of EnergyCloud, where he will lead the company’s mission to divert surplus renewable energy to homes in fuel poverty. In his new role, Alan will focus on scaling the company’s reach, expanding its stakeholder base, and building the executive team to align with the board’s strategic vision.
Alan joins EnergyCloud from Luzern Solutions, where he served as Chief Commercial Officer for over 8 years. During his tenure, he successfully grew the company’s net revenue from €2m to €16m. He also secured partnerships with major brands, including Panasonic, LEGO, and Nestle, and played a key role in obtaining Private Equity funding from Cardinal Capital in 2021.
Prior to Luzern Solutions, Alan was the Non-Executive Chairman of Staycity, Europe’s largest independent serviced apartment operator. Over 7 years, Alan contributed to the expansion of the business across cities like London, Paris, and Dublin, helping Staycity become a leading player in the hospitality sector.
Alan also held the role of CEO at EuroCommerce for 5 years, where he created a successful strategy that grew the company’s presence in the airline and travel industry. Under his leadership, EuroCommerce turned a €2m loss into a €1m profit, and the company was ultimately sold to MasterCard.
Earlier in his career, Alan served as COO at eWare, where he was responsible for strategic partnerships, fundraising, and operations. His leadership helped position eWare for a successful exit, demonstrating his ability to drive growth in challenging markets.
Alan started his career as a Finance Manager at Oracle Corporation and later served as Finance Director at POINT. His experience in finance and operations set a strong foundation for his future leadership roles in the business and technology sectors.
