Bringing more than 26 years of leadership experience across enterprise technology, cybersecurity, cloud modernization, digital governance, and IT operations, Amit will lead the company’s cybersecurity strategy, enterprise technology vision, cloud and infrastructure modernization, governance, risk management, operational transformation, and innovation roadmap. Before joining BUSINESSNEXT, Amit Bhatia served as Chief Information Security Officer at Religare Broking Ltd, where he spent more than six and a half years leading enterprise IT and cybersecurity transformation. During his tenure, he optimized IT operating costs by 28%, managed a US$1.3 million IT and security budget, and improved infrastructure uptime and application support service levels to 99.9%. He spearheaded cloud-first initiatives, enterprise application rationalization, data center consolidation, automation, Zero Trust Architecture, and AI integration while strengthening GDPR, ISO, and PCI-DSS compliance frameworks. His leadership also advanced business continuity, governance, enterprise resilience, and customer experience through integrated technology and security strategies.
Earlier, Amit served as Senior Vice President – IT & Data Protection Officer (DPO) at RateGain, where he led technology operations, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, and enterprise integrations during a key acquisition. He successfully transitioned strategic platforms from Amazon Web Services infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform, contributing to increased scalability and business growth, while improving infrastructure uptime from 88% to 99.9%. He also established AI and Big Data analytics capabilities supporting revenue-generating business units, strengthened cybersecurity frameworks, accelerated digital transformation through AI and automation, and implemented customer-focused technologies that enhanced operational efficiency and user experience.
Prior to RateGain, Amit spent more than seven years at Innodata Inc. as Associate Vice President – IT Global Operations, leading enterprise infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, ITIL-based service transformation, information security improvements, and business application development. His initiatives generated substantial operational savings, improved service delivery, and expanded technology-driven business capabilities. Before that, he served as Associate – Infrastructure Solutions at Dell, where he led large-scale infrastructure transition programs, cloud migration initiatives, network security enhancements, and global service delivery transformation. He began his professional journey at PepsiCo as System Administrator, supporting enterprise infrastructure, disaster recovery planning, and mission-critical business applications.
