Amy Collins Appointed as Vice President of Human Resources and Labour Relations at Oceanex Inc.

Oceanex Inc., a leader in intermodal transportation solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Collins as the new Vice President of Human Resources and Labour Relations, effective April 2024. Collins brings a wealth of experience, with over 15 years in the field, to her new role at the company’s headquarters in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Prior to joining Oceanex, Collins was a Consultant in Human Resources at WorkplaceNL from January 2023 until April 2024, where she provided expert HR services and support. Before that, she held the position of Director of Collective Bargaining for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador throughout 2022, focusing on key labor relations initiatives.

Amy Collins also has significant experience in the energy sector, having spent over a decade at ExxonMobil. From 2009 to 2020, she served as Senior Human Resources Advisor and Industrial Relations Advisor, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the HR landscape within the company. Earlier in her career, she was involved in labour relations at Canada Post and was a Project Officer at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
