Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Texas, USA, October 2024 – Amy Schmidt has been appointed as the Head of Talent Management at Texas Capital, where she is responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of talent management, development, retention, and succession planning. Amy’s role includes working closely with senior leadership to understand workforce needs, developing leadership development programs, and identifying high-potential employees for critical roles within the company.
Prior to this role, Amy served as Head of Talent Management, Programs at Texas Capital. She led the development and facilitation of talent development programs, including early career programs, leadership onboarding, and training programs, ensuring alignment with business needs. Her leadership was key in building and refining these programs for future leaders.
Before joining Texas Capital, Amy was Director of HR Strategy, Employee Experience, and Operational Excellence at Commvault, where she acted as a strategic advisor to the Chief People Officer. Amy played a pivotal role in implementing strategic initiatives across ESG, employee experience, and talent management, positioning Commvault as a leader in the tech industry.
Amy also founded and served as CEO of StrengthsU, where she provided strength-based consulting and coaching to businesses, focusing on leadership development, workforce transformation, and performance management. Her passion for developing talent and leadership has been a driving force throughout her career.
Earlier in her career, Amy was Director of Operations & HRBP at Willow Creek Community Church, where she managed day-to-day operations, developed strategic leadership programs, and grew key initiatives.
