London, United Kingdom, June 2026 – Arriva Group has appointed Andrea Sanchez as UK People Director, strengthening its people leadership team as the company continues to advance workforce transformation, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives across its UK operations. Bringing more than 25 years of international human resources leadership experience, Sanchez will lead the people agenda across Arriva’s UK portfolio, supporting the organization’s talent, culture, and organizational effectiveness priorities.
Sanchez joins Arriva following a distinguished career with Brink’s Global Services, where she spent nearly 25 years in progressively senior HR leadership roles across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, and South America. Most recently, she served as Vice President Human Resources – Europe, Middle East & Africa and Asia Pacific, overseeing HR strategy and operations for a business employing approximately 35,000 people across 52 markets.
During her tenure at Brink’s, Sanchez played a pivotal role in several large-scale transformation initiatives, including the deployment of the Workday HR platform across EMEA and Asia Pacific, the integration of major acquisitions, and the development of employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, leadership development, and succession planning programs. She also led organizational restructuring and capability-building initiatives designed to improve workforce effectiveness and support long-term business growth.
Prior to this role, Sanchez served as Vice President Human Resources – South America, Middle East & Africa and Asia Pacific, where she led regional HR transformation programs, standardized global job evaluation frameworks, strengthened talent management processes, and implemented performance management enhancements across multiple geographies. Earlier leadership positions included Senior Director and Director-level HR roles supporting Brink’s Global Services and Brink’s UK operations.
Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Sanchez is actively involved in leadership development and community impact initiatives. She currently serves as Board Trustee and Chief People Officer at SEDSConnective and is a mentor with The CIPD Trust through its Future People Leaders Programme, helping emerging HR professionals build strategic leadership capabilities.
Her appointment comes as Arriva continues to invest in people, culture, and organizational capability across its transportation network. With extensive experience leading complex international workforces, driving organizational transformation, and developing future leaders, Sanchez is expected to play an important role in supporting Arriva’s long-term growth and workforce strategy.
