Bogotá, Colombia, July 2025 — Angélica Berrocal has been appointed as Head of Talent Acquisition at Marathon Talent. In this role, she will lead the recruiting team, oversee talent strategy and delivery, and partner with clients to accelerate hiring, organizational scaling, and people operations across LATAM and global markets.
Angélica has been a driving force at Marathon Talent since 2023, where she served as Senior Talent Acquisition Partner. She was instrumental in building the company from the ground up as the sister firm of Marathon Ventures, transforming it into a strategic recruitment and HR partner for startups across LATAM, the US, Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Under her leadership, the team achieved significant results, including closing more than 60 leadership and key roles annually, reducing time-to-hire to under 30 days, and achieving a 95% offer acceptance rate.
Alongside her role at Marathon Talent, Angélica also serves as Head of Talent Acquisition at Marathon Ventures, where she partners with CEOs and leadership teams to define hiring needs, scale high-performing teams, and expand into new markets.
Before joining Marathon, she worked at Michael Page as Senior Consultant and Consultant in IT, Digital & e-Commerce, where she supported B2B business development, regional training, and Salesforce system implementation. Earlier, she gained international recruitment leadership experience at Amaris Consulting, managing recruitment for North America, and at Lee Hecht Harrison in Madrid as a Talent Connector for IT industry outplacement. Her career began as an IT Recruiter Trainee at Carvajal Tecnología y Servicios.
Angélica is also a Professor at Universidad de Los Andes, where she teaches on the impact of artificial intelligence on HR. She holds a degree in Psychology from Universidad de Los Andes and a Master’s in Human Resources Management from EAE Business School.
