Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 2025 – Elysian Real Estate has appointed Berna Jacobs Beard as its new Head of Talent. In this role, Berna will lead the company’s full talent function, focusing on recruitment, retention, and employee engagement. Her mandate includes driving broker hiring, reducing attrition, and building a culture where people and performance thrive together in one of Dubai’s most competitive real estate markets.
Berna joins Elysian Real Estate after serving as Talent Acquisition Manager at Unique Properties, where she managed a recruitment team, aligned workforce planning with leadership goals, streamlined hiring processes, and elevated employer branding to attract high-performing brokers.
Before that, she was Recruitment and HR Manager at Espace Real Estate, where she built scalable recruitment infrastructure, managed full-cycle hiring, and oversaw compliance and onboarding. She also strengthened recruiter performance by mentoring teams and introducing structured KPIs.
Earlier, Berna worked at Deloitte as Assistant Manager – Tax on a contract assignment, where she not only handled end-to-end recruitment across service lines but also covered the full HR function during a leadership gap. This included managing employee relations, performance reviews, onboarding, and visa processing.
Her previous experience spans roles as HR & Recruitment Manager at Virtuality, and over four years at Engel & Völkers Dubai in multiple HR and recruitment capacities, including HR Manager and Employee Relations Advisor. Berna’s career foundation was built through earlier recruitment roles with McGregor Boyall, REED, and service experience as Cabin Crew with Qatar Airways, where she developed strong communication and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.
