The book provides a fresh perspective on leadership, addressing the need for leaders to adapt to the challenges of a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world. In his book, Khandelwal advocates for a balanced approach to leadership, emphasizing the development of both soft and hard skills. He likens the process of building leadership capabilities to a fitness workout, where passion, dedication, and discipline are essential to success. The book identifies eighteen foundational leadership skills, categorized into four sections: ‘understanding the self,’ ’emotional regulation,’ ‘relationship management,’ and ‘communication.’

In his remarks, Shri Piyush Goyal praised Khandelwal’s contributions to leadership literature and emphasized the relevance of the book’s insights in the current business environment. The distinguished attendees shared their thoughts on the need for purposeful, agile, and cooperative leadership in today’s world.
