In this expanded mandate, Ankit Gupta will lead efforts to scale Steriscience’s B2B platform globally, strengthening execution across manufacturing and international operations while supporting the group’s growth agenda in value-added sterile injectables.

Alongside this group CEO responsibility, Ankit Gupta continues as Chief Executive Officer at Steriscience, where he is focused on building a high-value, differentiated sterile injectable business through innovative formats and global scale.

Ankit also brings board and business-building exposure through InstaPill, where he serves as Chief Executive Officer and Whole Time Director, leading the global build-out of a dosage form technology initiative aimed at driving innovation and enhancing patient experiences in the pharmaceutical space.

Before joining Steriscience, he led investments and strategy at Gland Pharma Limited as VP & Head of Investments and Strategy, where he drove investment strategy including M&A and post-merger integration, portfolio and go-to-market initiatives, strategic alliances, and data-driven governance. He also served as a Board Member at Cenexi, supporting post-merger integration, business development, strategic alliances, and CDMO growth.

Earlier, he held senior leadership roles at Strides, including VP & Head of Corporate Development & Strategy and DGM – Corporate Strategy and Business Finance, focusing on long-range planning, growth and profitability priorities, divestment decisions on non-core assets, business finance, and strategic initiatives across a broad pharma portfolio.

He also served as Head of Investor Relations at Biocon, where he led business and commercial strategy from the CEO’s office while spearheading investor relations, and implemented the company’s first ESG initiative that supported its inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) – Emerging Markets in 2021.
