Gurugram, Haryana, India, April 2025 – Ankur Tailang has taken on the role of Director – Talent Acquisition Head at Cvent, where he will lead the India talent acquisition strategy for one of the world’s foremost meetings, events, and hospitality technology providers. This leadership appointment reinforces Cvent’s commitment to attracting top-tier talent to fuel its next phase of innovation and expansion.

Prior to joining Cvent, Ankur served as Vice President & Global Head of Talent Acquisition at RateGain, a fast-growing SaaS company in the travel and hospitality tech space. There, he led global recruitment across the Americas, Europe, and APAC, driving strategic talent acquisition, DEI efforts, and leadership hiring across multiple regions.

Before RateGain, Ankur was Head of Talent Acquisition for Airbnb India, where he built a high-performing team of 45 recruiters and spearheaded initiatives in employer branding, operational excellence, and executive hiring. He was also instrumental in launching India’s first “Returnship Program” for women in technology at Airbnb.

Earlier in his career, Ankur was Director – Human Resources at GEP Worldwide, where he led HRBP functions and campus programs. He also held leadership roles at Amazon, Snapdeal, and Morgan Stanley, where he focused on building robust talent pipelines and scaling technology and product teams.

He began his career in recruitment with Adobe, Microsoft, and Spectrum Consultants, developing deep domain expertise in technology hiring and executive search across functions.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
