Dublin, Ireland, July 2024 – Ann Hamilton-Lyons has joined Mercury as the new Head of Human Resources Operations. Bringing extensive experience in organizational design, HR consulting, and executive development, Ann is set to lead Mercury’s HR operations with a focus on innovation and high performance.

Ann Hamilton-Lyons has commenced her role as the Head of Human Resources Operations at Mercury. Based in Dublin, she will oversee HR operations and drive strategic initiatives to support the company’s growth and development.

Previously, Ann served as the People Operations Director at Majorel for 5 years and 7 months. During her tenure, she led HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), managed organizational transformations, and contributed to mergers and acquisitions.

Before Majorel, Ann was the Head of HR at Arvato CRM Global BPS for 9 months, where she was responsible for overseeing HR functions and ensuring alignment with business goals.

Ann’s earlier roles include serving as the EMEA Senior HR Manager at Arvato Financial Solutions, Global F&A for 2 years and 11 months, where she managed HR operations across multiple regions and supported various HR initiatives.

At Cheshire Ireland, Ann held multiple roles over 5 years and 5 months, including Head of Human Resources and HR Manager. She led HR strategies and initiatives, focusing on talent acquisition, development, and employee engagement.

Ann also worked as an HR Business Partner at Canada Life for 1 year and an HR Consultant at Ulster Bank for 1 year, where she provided HR support and consulting services to enhance organizational performance.

Her career began with American Airlines, where she served as a Senior HR Representative in Ireland for 11 years, gaining substantial experience in HR operations and employee relations.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
