Prior to her appointment at Balfour Beatty Investments, Michelle Swords-Morrison had a distinguished tenure of nearly ten years at ADP, where she most recently served as Relationship Management Leader. In this strategic role, she led a team focused on client loyalty, overseeing a portfolio of 4,000 clients with a $300 million revenue impact. Her remit included building and nurturing client relationships, developing retention strategies, and partnering with senior leaders on key business improvements. Earlier, as Leadership Development Leader, Swords-Morrison designed and launched leadership programs for a 3,000-employee business unit, reducing attrition and accelerating onboarding for new leaders. Her time at ADP also included senior roles such as Sr. Manager, Client Services & Product Support, and Manager of Operations, each marked by process enhancements, change management initiatives, and the enablement of high-performing teams. Additionally, she provided strategic guidance as Client Engagement Manager and Senior Human Resources Business Partner, delivering HCM solutions and championing the firm’s DE&I agenda.

Before joining ADP, Swords-Morrison served as Human Resources Manager at Miller’s Insurance Agency, Inc., where she was responsible for both the strategic direction and daily management of the organization’s HR function. She led the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with business plans, managed recruitment and training programs, drove staff engagement initiatives, and ensured compliance with employment policies and legal requirements. Her efforts contributed to improved talent acquisition, robust succession planning, and a strong, compliant HR framework supporting business growth.

Her earlier experience includes several roles in talent acquisition, executive search, and HR consulting. As an Executive Contract Recruiter On-Demand with Placers Professional (a division of CBI Group) and Independent Consultant Recruiter for SC Consulting, LLC, she specialized in sourcing high-caliber talent for clients in the banking, financial, and HR sectors. Swords-Morrison also held key project-based roles as an HRIS Analyst and Survey Administrator at Vanguard and as a Human Resources Business Partner/Generalist at Animas Corporation, delivering HR reporting, compliance, and operational support across diverse business units.

Further enriching her experience, Swords-Morrison contributed to major corporate change programs at AstraZeneca as an HR Business Partner, supporting business unit restructurings, managing redundancy processes, and leading compliance initiatives. She also managed the HR function for Julian Krinsky Camps & Programs, overseeing recruitment and HR operations for both year-round and seasonal staff, and earlier in her career built her HR foundation through various roles in recruitment and client sales at ICS Group.
