Lisbon, Portugal, December 2024 – Annette Chan has been named the Regional Head of People Advisory Europe & HQ at A.P. Moller – Maersk, a global leader in transport and logistics. In her new role, Chan will oversee people strategies across Europe and the corporate headquarters, focusing on enhancing operational excellence, talent management, and integration processes to support Maersk’s ambitious growth objectives.
Chan brings over seven years of experience at A.P. Moller – Maersk, where she has held several strategic positions. Most recently, she served as Global Operational Excellence & Strategic Projects Manager, contributing to streamlining HR operations and implementing impactful strategic initiatives.
Annette joined A.P. Moller – Maersk in 2017 as an HR Business Partner in Panama, focusing on aligning HR practices with organizational goals. She later transitioned to Europe, where she held roles including HR Operations Manager and People Advisory Cluster Head, driving innovation and operational improvements across regions.
In 2021, she took on the role of Global Implementation Manager, where she was instrumental in delivering integration solutions for Maersk’s global operations. Her tenure as Regional Integration Manager Europe & Africa – M&As further showcased her expertise in managing complex mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Maersk, Chan held key HR roles at Samsung Electronics, Bacardi, and Dell, with a focus on talent acquisition, organizational development, and innovation in HR practices.
