Dubai, United Arab Emirates, February 2026 – Haldiram Snacks Food Pvt. Ltd. has appointed Annu Gupta as Chief Executive Officer – International Business, strengthening its global expansion strategy across key international markets.
With 28 years of experience in the FMCG sector, Annu brings deep expertise in scaling international businesses, particularly across the Middle East, Africa, and other global regions. Prior to joining Haldiram’s, he spent over 13 years at Britannia Industries Limited, most recently serving as CEO – International Business, where he led operations across 80+ global markets spanning the Middle East, Africa, North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. Under his leadership, international revenues grew manifold, profits expanded at twice the pace of revenues, and the business achieved top-decile FMCG performance benchmarks globally.
During his tenure at Britannia, Annu established local manufacturing units in Egypt, Kenya, and Nepal, secured market leadership in Nepal, and expanded aggressively into African and Latin American markets. He also led innovation initiatives launching products such as Milk Bikis Mini Waffles and Soft Baked Cookies, while earning accolades including the ET Best Brand UAE Award and the Chairman’s Club Award for Best Business Unit.
Earlier in his career, Annu held leadership roles at TGI Nigeria Ltd. (Chi Ltd.), IFFCO, Watanmal Group, Dabur India Limited, Colgate Palmolive, and Asian Paints, where he consistently delivered strong revenue growth, expanded distribution networks, and strengthened brand presence across diverse markets. He began his professional journey with an internship at Unilever, contributing to the relaunch of Lipton Taaza Tea in Maharashtra.
An alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (PGDM – Marketing & Finance), Annu brings a strong blend of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and global market expertise. In his new role at Haldiram’s, he will lead the international business strategy to accelerate global expansion and strengthen the brand’s footprint across key overseas markets.
