Austin, Texas, United States, February 2026 – Ouro has elevated Anupama Rao to Senior Vice President, Head of People, recognizing her nearly two decades of global HR leadership experience and her impact on strengthening HR operations and service delivery.
Since joining Ouro in February 2024 as Vice President, HR Operations & Technology, Anupama has helped build flexible HR service models, enhance employee experience, and strengthen operational effectiveness. She later served as VP, Head of People, before stepping into her current expanded leadership role as SVP, Head of People, where she will continue to shape people strategy and organizational effectiveness.
Prior to Ouro, Anupama served as Head of Global People Operations at Uber, leading a global team of more than 125 professionals supporting approximately 27,000 employees across four regions. During her tenure, she reduced average case resolution time by 30 percent, increased customer satisfaction scores from 3 to 4.5, expanded Tier-1 HR support into Latin America, and introduced structured governance frameworks such as QBRs, scorecards, and automation initiatives that improved turnaround times and operational scalability.
Earlier, during her eight-year tenure at Visa, she led global HR shared services supporting over 26,000 employees, built scalable HR service delivery models, drove automation, delivered significant cost efficiencies, and supported mergers and acquisitions integration efforts. She began her HR leadership journey at AMD, where she helped establish global HR shared services frameworks and improve process standards.
Anupama holds an MBA from Arizona State University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Bangalore University.
