Hyderabad, Telangana, India, April 2025 — Aparna Kondaboina has been appointed Head of Human Resources for Microsoft Customers and Partners Solutions (MCAPS), India and South Asia. In her new role, she will lead HR strategy to enhance talent outcomes, foster inclusion, and build high-performance teams across the commercial business division.
With over 23 years of experience, Aparna Kondaboina brings a strong track record at Microsoft in both India and the US. Most recently, she served as Senior HR Director for the Microsoft India Development Center, where she played a pivotal role in expanding its footprint and building a diverse engineering workforce.
Prior to her latest role, Kondaboina held several key positions at Microsoft in the United States, including HR Director – Global Commercial and Cloud Services Finance, Senior Talent Management Lead, and Senior HR Manager at the company’s Redmond campus. Across these roles, she was instrumental in advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives and strengthening organizational culture.
Earlier in her career at Microsoft India, she worked as a Staffing Manager and HR Business Partner, focusing on talent acquisition and HR business solutions. Before joining Microsoft, she served as Senior HR Executive at IVY Comptech, Hyderabad (a subsidiary of PartyGaming), where she built foundational HR capabilities in a high-growth environment.
In addition to Aparna Kondaboina’s appointment, Microsoft also announced the appointment of Nitin Mittal as Industry Leader, Digital Natives, India & South Asia, and the elevation of Himani Agrawal to Chief Operating Officer (COO), Microsoft India & South Asia. Announced during Microsoft’s 50th anniversary celebrations, these leadership changes underscore the company’s commitment to accelerating its AI-first strategy for India.
