Goa, India, May 2026 – Ashish Deshpande has been appointed as Managing Director at Sidel India, marking a significant milestone in his leadership journey across global manufacturing and engineering organizations. In this role, he will be responsible for driving business growth, operational excellence, and strengthening Sidel’s presence in India while aligning with the company’s global strategy.
Ashish Deshpande joins Sidel India Private Limited after a distinguished tenure of over seven years at Syntegon, where he held multiple leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Managing Director, alongside being a Member of the Board of Directors, playing a critical role in steering business strategy and governance. Prior to that, he held positions including General Manager, Deputy General Manager, and Head of Manufacturing, where he led large-scale manufacturing operations, supply chain functions, and operational transformation initiatives.
Before Syntegon, Ashish spent nearly eight years with Diebold, where he held leadership roles such as AGM – Operations, Engineering and Capital Projects and Manager – Engineering & Capital Projects. During this period, he contributed significantly to operational efficiency, engineering excellence, and capital project execution across manufacturing facilities.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Forbes and Company Ltd. as Design and Development Manager, and with Kennametal as a Product Development Engineer, building strong expertise in product innovation and engineering design.
Ashish’s early professional journey includes roles at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, USA, Foam Design Inc., and as a Research Assistant at University of Kentucky, along with his foundational experience as an Industrial Engineer at Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd.. These roles helped shape his strong foundation in manufacturing processes, engineering systems, and operational excellence.
