London, United Kingdom, February 2025 – Citi Bank has appointed Ashu Khullar as the Global Co-Head of Global Asset Managers (GAM). Based in London, he will be responsible for overseeing operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, focusing on expanding strategic partnerships and managing key financial relationships. Khullar’s leadership in India significantly contributed to Citi’s growth, making him a key figure in shaping the bank’s investment banking strategies on a global scale.
In his new role, Khullar will collaborate with Anthony Diamandakis, the Head of GAM for North America, ensuring seamless execution of Citi’s asset management initiatives worldwide. His deep expertise in corporate banking and investment strategies is expected to drive Citi’s expansion and enhance client engagement across multiple markets.
Meanwhile, K Balasubramanian has been appointed as CEO of Citi India, subject to regulatory approvals. With nearly three decades at Citi, he brings vast experience in corporate banking across South Asia and ASEAN markets. His previous leadership roles at HDFC Bank and Citi’s South Asia corporate banking division highlight his ability to drive growth and strategic transformation in India’s evolving financial landscape.
