Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2024 – Asit Khuntia has been appointed as the new Head – Talent Acquisition at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). With a distinguished career spanning over 18 years at HPCL, Asit brings a wealth of experience in strategic human resource planning, recruiting, and cultural transformation.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited has been the cornerstone of Asit Khuntia’s professional journey. Before taking on his new role, Asit served as the Deputy General Manager – Human Resources from April 2022 to April 2024. In this capacity, he led initiatives to enhance employee experience, strategic HR planning, and cultural transformation, contributing significantly to the organization’s growth and success.

From June 2021 to April 2024, Asit was the Chief Manager – Human Resources (Refinery) at HPCL. His role focused on employee training, team productivity, and performance motivation, driving a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the refinery division.

Between September 2014 and May 2021, Asit served as the Head – Human Resources, East Zone. He was instrumental in leading HR functions across the Eastern region, implementing cultural change initiatives, and improving team productivity and performance motivation.

Asit has also held various other roles at HPCL, including Deputy Manager – HR (IR, Union Interface and Discipline Management), Assistant Manager – HR (Initiatives, C&B), Assistant Manager – Retail (Training and Promotions), and Officer – HR (Industrial Relations). Each of these roles allowed Asit to hone his skills in employee training, cultural transformation, and strategic HR management, contributing to his development as a well-rounded HR leader.

Before joining HPCL, Asit began his career at ICFAI Group as an Executive – Training and Development, where he gained valuable experience in training and development initiatives.
