Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, April 2026 — Atish Bhattacharya has taken on a new role in his professional journey with RAK Ceramics as Head of HR, India, marking an important milestone in his human resources leadership career. His appointment reflects extensive experience across people strategy, HR transformation, talent management, employee engagement, and administration across diverse industries including building materials, manufacturing, hospitality, telecom, consumer electronics, and engineering.
Before joining RAK Ceramics, Atish Bhattacharya served as Head – Human Resources at Somany Ceramics Ltd, where he led HR strategy and administration for a large pan-India workforce across multiple businesses and manufacturing plants. Prior to that, he was associated with Okaya Power Group as Head – Human Resources & Administration (AVP-HR). These roles reflect a strong progression across strategic HR leadership, organizational development, and operational people management.
Earlier, he worked with Greenlam Industries Ltd in roles including Lead – Sales HR and Assistant General Manager – Talent Acquisition & Employee Engagement. He was also associated with AccorHotels India as Regional Manager – Human Resources, India Region, where he supported strategic and operational HR for hotel operations and pre-opening properties. Before that, he held HR leadership and business partnering roles at Bharti Infratel Limited, Samsung Electronics Private Limited, Voltas Limited, and Larsen & Toubro Ltd. ECC Division. He also had an early association with the Indian Military Academy as Gentleman Cadet. Together, these assignments reflect a long and accomplished journey across HR leadership, employee engagement, talent strategy, business partnering, and industrial relations.
Academically, Atish Bhattacharya completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management from XLRI Jamshedpur. With experience spanning RAK Ceramics, Somany Ceramics Ltd, Okaya Power Group, Greenlam Industries Ltd, AccorHotels India, Bharti Infratel Limited, Samsung Electronics, Voltas Limited, and Larsen & Toubro, he brings a distinguished and well-rounded leadership profile to his new role. His appointment is expected to support RAK Ceramics India as it continues to strengthen its people strategy and organizational capabilities.
