Atul Gupta Assumes Charge as Chairman & Managing Director of Engineers India Limited

New Delhi, India, June 2026 — Engineers India Limited (EIL) has welcomed Shri Atul Gupta upon his assuming charge as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). A distinguished industry leader with more than three decades of experience in the energy and infrastructure sector, Shri Gupta takes over the leadership of the Navratna public sector enterprise at a pivotal stage in its growth and transformation journey.

Having served as Director (Commercial) at Engineers India Limited since August 2022, Shri Atul Gupta has been instrumental in driving the company’s strategic growth, diversification, and international expansion initiatives. His leadership has significantly strengthened EIL’s presence across traditional and emerging sectors, including energy transition, infrastructure, renewables, green hydrogen, biofuels, nuclear energy, and digital transformation.

Over his 34-year association with EIL, Shri Gupta has developed extensive expertise across the complete project lifecycle, contributing to the organization’s evolution into one of South Asia’s leading engineering consultancy and EPC service providers. During his tenure as Director (Commercial), EIL achieved record business growth, expanded its global footprint, and strengthened its position in sunrise sectors through strategic diversification and innovation-led initiatives.

Widely recognized for his visionary leadership and strong commercial acumen, Shri Gupta has consistently championed technology-driven growth, operational excellence, indigenous capability development, and collaborative leadership. He has also played a key role in fostering a high-performance, future-ready organizational culture that supports innovation and sustainable growth.

As Chairman & Managing Director, Shri Atul Gupta will lead EIL’s next phase of transformation, focusing on strengthening its global competitiveness and aligning the organization with India’s evolving energy and infrastructure priorities. Under his stewardship, EIL is poised to accelerate its growth trajectory while continuing to contribute meaningfully to nation-building and the development of future-ready engineering solutions.
