Hyderabad, India, May 2026 — Matrix Pharmacorp has announced the appointment of Dr. Sanjay Chaturvedi as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a major leadership development for India’s leading integrated API manufacturer as the company accelerates its next phase of expansion, innovation, and operational transformation.
Dr. Chaturvedi brings extensive pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemicals, and global business leadership experience spanning more than three decades. In his new role, he will lead Matrix Pharmacorp’s strategic growth agenda, global expansion, operational excellence, and innovation roadmap as the company continues serving pharmaceutical partners across more than 80 countries.
Before joining Matrix Pharmacorp, Dr. Chaturvedi served as Chief Executive Officer at Apitoria Pharma Private Limited, where he held full P&L responsibility for a large-scale global API business with over 10,000 employees and annual sales exceeding INR 7,500 crore. His leadership focused on driving large-scale operational growth, international market expansion, and business transformation.
Prior to Apitoria Pharma, he served as Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer at IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Limited, where he led a publicly listed pharmaceutical company with significant market capitalization and a large employee base. During this tenure, he strengthened the company’s business performance and strategic market positioning.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Chaturvedi held senior executive leadership positions at Praj Industries, Aurobindo Pharma, and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he led global sales, marketing, business development, API operations, industrial biotech growth, and international commercial strategy.
His broad corporate experience also includes leadership roles at Dow Advanced Materials, Rohm and Haas, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Stony Brook University, and the Indian Institute of Science, reflecting a rare blend of scientific depth, strategic leadership, innovation management, and business execution.
With his proven expertise in pharmaceuticals, APIs, biotech, R&D, and global commercialization, Dr. Chaturvedi’s appointment positions Matrix Pharmacorp strongly for future-ready growth and enhanced global competitiveness.
