Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2026 — Kotak Mahindra Bank has promoted Atul Palande to the position of Vice President. In his elevated role, he will continue contributing to the bank’s strategic priorities while supporting cross-functional initiatives, business transformation, and enterprise-wide collaboration as part of the One Kotak program.
Atul Palande has built over 12 years of experience across banking, financial services, relationship management, capital markets, and strategic business leadership. Since joining Kotak Mahindra Bank in 2023, he has progressed through multiple leadership roles, beginning as Associate Vice President before being elevated to Deputy Vice President. Most recently, he has also been serving as Chief of Staff – One Kotak, partnering on strategic planning, cross-functional execution, and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives designed to strengthen collaboration and business integration across the organization.
Prior to joining Kotak Mahindra Bank, Atul spent three years at ICICI Bank, where he served as Senior Relationship Manager and Relationship Manager within the Custody and Capital Markets business. During this period, he managed relationships with institutional clients and developed expertise across capital markets, foreign investments, and financial services. Earlier in his career, he worked as Senior Manager at YES BANK, focusing on Indian Financial Institutions Banking, and began his professional journey as a Graduate Engineering Trainee at Tata Consultancy Services, following an internship with Wipro.
Throughout his career, Atul has developed expertise in strategic planning, business relationship management, capital markets, institutional banking, cross-functional leadership, foreign investments, financial services, enterprise transformation, stakeholder management, and business execution. His promotion reflects Kotak Mahindra Bank’s confidence in his leadership capabilities and his growing contribution to driving strategic initiatives across the organization.
Atul completed the Kotak Young Leaders Council Foundation Programme at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) and holds an MBA in Finance from the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay.
