With extensive experience in global HR leadership, organizational transformation, and capability building, Avijit Roy will lead Varroc’s enterprise-wide people strategy, focusing on building future-ready talent, strengthening leadership pipelines, and driving cultural transformation across its global operations.
Prior to joining Varroc Engineering, Avijit Roy served as Senior Vice President – Global Human Resources at Aditya Birla Group, where he led the global HR function across multiple geographies and business units. His role focused on aligning people strategy with business growth, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and building scalable talent capabilities.
During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in global learning and leadership development, designing capability frameworks and talent agility models that strengthened leadership pipelines and improved diversity outcomes.
Earlier, as Regional HR Head – Asia, he partnered closely with business leaders to drive high-impact HR transformation initiatives, contributing to improved engagement, productivity, and business performance across diverse markets. He also led greenfield expansion and joint venture setups, including strategic workforce planning and organization design for new markets such as China.
He previously held roles such as Vice President – Business HR, where he drove enterprise HR strategy and total rewards frameworks, and served as CHRO at Hero Motors, leading large-scale transformation, culture alignment, and organizational restructuring initiatives.
His earlier experience includes leadership roles at Tesco, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., and Hindustan Unilever Ltd, where he built deep expertise in talent management, leadership development, industrial relations, and HR transformation.
