Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Krishnakumar N has started a new role at Ferring Pharmaceuticals as Director, External Manufacturing Network, Operational Stream Lead, where he will be leading the operational stream for the Asian region. This appointment marks an important milestone in his pharmaceutical leadership journey and reflects his deep experience across external manufacturing, supplier relationship management, quality assurance, biopharma operations, and technical operations.
Before joining Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Krishnakumar N spent nearly fourteen years with Sandoz, where he held key leadership roles including Head External Supplier Relationship Management, Sandoz Biologics and Head TechOps India Biopharma BU. These roles reflect a strong progression across biopharma operations, external manufacturing oversight, technical operations, regulatory coordination, and biosimilar commercialization.
Earlier, he was associated with Novartis India in Quality Assurance, where he managed quality-related activities across external suppliers and global audit coordination. Prior to that, he worked with Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd. as Sr. Manager Quality Assurance, with Baxter as Site Quality Head, and with sanofi-aventis in roles including Executive Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Executive. These assignments reflect a strong and sustained career across quality systems, manufacturing, validation, compliance, and regulated market operations.
In the earlier phase of his professional journey, Krishnakumar N was associated with Cadila Pharmaceuticals as Sr. Technical Supervisor and with Hoechst as Graduate Apprentice, Manufacturing. Academically, he studied at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Together, his experience across Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Sandoz, Novartis India, Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd., Baxter, sanofi-aventis, Cadila Pharmaceuticals, and Hoechst reflects a long and accomplished leadership journey in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry.
With extensive experience across external manufacturing networks, supplier governance, biopharma operations, quality systems, and regulatory support, Krishnakumar N brings a strong and well-rounded profile to his new role. His appointment is expected to support Ferring Pharmaceuticals as it continues to strengthen its operational stream and manufacturing network across Asia.
