Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, May 2026 – HCLTech has announced the appointment of Avishek Chattopadhyay as Global Chief Information Officer (CIO). He succeeds Ajit Kumar, who will be retiring after a distinguished tenure with the organization.
In his new role, Avishek will lead the AI-led transformation of HCLTech’s IT landscape, driving stronger alignment between technology and business priorities to enhance innovation and enterprise value across the organization. He will report to Rahul Singh, COO – Corporate Functions, HCLTech.
Avishek Chattopadhyay has been associated with HCLTech for nearly two decades, building a strong leadership track record across enterprise technology and global delivery. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President & Head – Global Delivery, Digital Process Operations, where he led large-scale transformation programs and delivery excellence across global operations.
Prior to this, he held roles including Senior Vice President & Head – Global Delivery and Vice President & SBU Head – Healthcare, Supply Chain and Product Support, driving business growth and operational efficiency across key verticals.
Earlier in his career at HCLTech, he progressed through leadership positions such as General Manager, Deputy General Manager, and Group Manager – Supply Chain Practice, contributing to the development of enterprise solutions and delivery capabilities.
Having joined the company in 2005 as a Project Manager – SAP, Avishek has steadily grown through the ranks, gaining deep expertise in digital transformation, enterprise technology, and large-scale program execution.
