Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2024 – Babu Bhaskaran has joined EPL Limited as the new Vice President Human Resources – Americas, Europe, HR Digitization. Babu brings a wealth of experience in human resources and strategic leadership, ready to enhance EPL Limited’s HR functions across multiple regions.
Babu has been with EPL Limited for nearly six years. Prior to his current role, he served as the Vice President Human Resources for almost three years. In this position, he played a crucial role as a key member of the Regional Leadership Team of Africa, Middle East, and South Asia. Babu led a team of 30 HR professionals across 9 manufacturing locations, establishing strong succession planning and career development plans for top talents, contributing significantly to the company’s EBITDA growth.
Before his role as Vice President, Babu was the Regional Human Capital Head at EPL Limited for approximately three years. He was instrumental in driving business performance through innovative HR strategies.
Prior to joining EPL Limited, Babu served as the Head HR at Godrej Creamline Dairy Products Limited for nearly three years. He was responsible for managing organizational change and talent acquisition, crafting business vision, implementing a performance-oriented culture, and minimizing statutory risks.
Babu’s earlier experience includes his role as the Employee Relations Manager at Unilever for about two and a half years. He formulated the ER Strategy for South Asia and championed the use of technology in HR services for blue-collar employees, winning the best HR project.
He also worked as a Group Management Resource in Human Resources at RPG Enterprises for over four years, overseeing talent acquisition, engagement interventions, and successfully doubling the workforce during his tenure as the National Sales HR Manager at RPG Life Sciences.
Babu began his HR career as a Relationship Manager – Recruitment at IITIIM.com for nearly two years, where he was the star performer in a niche recruitment consultancy.
Babu holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Human Resources Management & Labour Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
