Goa, India — Basavaraj Kolkur has been promoted to Senior General Manager of HR Services at Indoco Remedies Ltd, stepping into his new role in April 2024. With a career at Indoco that spans over a year and a half, Kolkur has quickly ascended within the company’s ranks. He expressed his excitement about his new role, stating, “Excited to announce that I’ve been elevated & promoted as Sr. General Manager at Indoco Remedies Ltd. I am Grateful for this opportunity and looking forward to the new challenges ahead.”

Professional Growth at Indoco Remedies Ltd:

Since joining Indoco Remedies in September 2022 as a General Manager of HR, Kolkur has managed a significant workforce of over 2300 employees across three manufacturing plants. His leadership has been pivotal in streamlining HR operations and enhancing manpower management within the company.

Previous Experience:

Prior to his tenure at Indoco, Kolkur held a significant role at ANAND Group India as Deputy General Manager of HR from October 2015 to August 2022. In this position, he was instrumental in overseeing human resources development and implementing strategic HR initiatives across the company’s various locations.

Before ANAND Group, Kolkur served as a Manager of HR & Employee Relations at Mahindra & Mahindra from December 2012 to June 2015, where he developed and executed HR strategies that significantly improved employee relations and organizational effectiveness.

Kolkur’s extensive HR career also includes roles at notable companies such as Crompton Greaves and 3M, where he developed expertise in HR coordination and team leadership. His early career was marked by positions focusing on HR and industrial relations at several firms, where he honed his skills in managing compliance and enhancing workforce productivity.

Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
