Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, May 2025 – Ben James has stepped into the role of Head of People Transformation at Nine, one of Australia’s leading media companies. In his new role, Ben will be responsible for overseeing the People Transformation portfolio aligned with the organization’s Nine2028 vision—spearheading strategic workforce initiatives, organizational design, and enterprise-wide change programs.
Prior to this promotion, Ben served as Senior Business Partner, People & Culture at Nine, where he supported the Publishing division of over 800 employees across editorial, creative, and marketing teams. He played a pivotal role in embedding strategic transformation, championing capability development, and leading large-scale people initiatives across the business.
Earlier, Ben held various leadership roles at TAFE NSW, including Senior Workforce Design & Change Partner and Senior Business Partner, People & Culture, where he provided high-level strategic workforce guidance, organizational change support, and led the LGBTIQA+ inclusion efforts as Chair of the TAFE Pride Network.
Before moving into the public education sector, Ben held people-facing leadership positions at Uber and Apple, including participation in the Apple Graduate Management Program, giving him strong foundations in operations, compliance, people development, and customer experience.
